Art Work Lately: June 2026
Howdy. Hi. Hello. Welcome to the newsletter.
Hopefully, the summer weather has arrived on the Oregon Coast. There’s nothing quite like an art market mingling with nice weather. It hits just right. I hope to see you at one.
I’ve been up to something big. Big cyanotypes that is. I got a giant pad of my favorite watercolor paper to make some large cyanotypes. I’ve been bringing my first collection to the last couple weeks of markets. One of them has already gone to a new home. Next up, I’m going to make a few large wet cyanotypes. Here’s a couple of my favorites from the first batch.
More experimenting going on with wet cyanotypes as well. This time with apple cider vinegar. I normally use white vinegar. Since the apple cider has a brown color to it, I was hoping for some of that to come through. The results were stunning. It gave it an unexpected aged look that I love.
Thanks for hanging out as always. Let’s do it again next month.
