Tucked away in the woods along the Oregon Coast, you’ll find me foraging plants and watching birds. With some help from the sun, I make cyanotypes amongst the trees. If you love where art and nature collide like I do, you’ll find lots of goodies here.

Cyanotype supplies laying on a table while a hand holds up a pressed flower

When photography was in its infancy, cyanotypes became the go to way for budding botanists to document the plants they were collecting. Today, there are even more ways to experiment with this photographic art form with wet and dry methods, toning, and so much more. If you’d like to try your hand at making some prints in blue, I have compiled a guide and a kit to get your started.
